Description

Plan a grower-arranged visit to the durian and tropical-fruit landscapes around Memot, with time to learn about cultivation and local produce.

This is a regional planning guide, not one named farm or a walk-in attraction. Crop availability, harvesting and receiving arrangements vary between growers. The map marks commune orientation rather than a specific orchard gate.

How to Get There

Reach Suong and Memot by road on the National Road 7 corridor east of Kampong Cham. Use a car or local road transport for individual temples, agricultural areas and river communities.

Continue toward Memot commune and surrounding orchard areas for Memot Durian and Tropical Fruit Orchards. Travel by car or motorbike to the agreed farm meeting point; permission is needed before entering working fields or plantation premises.

Admission

A farm visit is an agricultural activity rather than a standard public park ticket. Meals, tastings, demonstrations and accommodation are separate products; a reliable single tariff is not published in the reviewed sources.

Things to Do

Visit with the grower's permission to learn about cultivation and the crop's processing. Buy produce directly when offered, and keep tasting or purchases separate from permission to walk into production areas.

What to Eat

Buy a cooked rice or noodle meal in Suong or Memot before a countryside outing. Durian and other fruit are seasonal; tasting and purchases are separate from permission to enter a working orchard.

Where to Stay

Suong suits the western province and Memot the eastern agricultural and archaeological areas. Kampong Cham can also serve as a base for western Tboung Khmum outings.

Best Time to Visit

Go during a grower's receiving time, preferably in cooler daylight. Harvest and crop availability vary by farm and season; a farm name alone does not establish a fruit-picking programme.

Before You Go

Book with a receiving grower and obtain the exact farm meeting point. Do not enter fields, pick fruit or handle farm equipment without permission.
