Description
Kampong Cham’s west-bank promenade is an easy place to slow down beside the Mekong. The riverfront is used for ordinary local walks, exercise, social gatherings and food stops.
The central riverbank can be paired with a short walk through the market-area streets. The Kizuna Bridge and opposite bank help orient the view, but the promenade is separate from the Stung Trang bridge farther north.
Place and planning reference ↗How to Get There
From Phnom Penh, travel toward Skun on National Road 6 and continue on National Road 7 to Kampong Cham. Buses, minivans and cars serve the city.
For Kampong Cham Riverfront Promenade, continue toward Central Kampong Cham, west bank of the Mekong. A car or motorbike covers the local road section; use the established approach for the final walk and keep a return vehicle for a countryside outing.
Road and transport context ↗Admission
An ordinary public promenade walk does not require a bundled tour. Pay separately for transport, food or any optional service you choose.
Things to Do
Walk the open public promenade, watch river activity and choose an operating food stall. Leave space for exercise groups, pedestrians and people working along the bank.
Place and planning reference ↗What to Eat
The city market and Mekong riverfront are useful for rice-noodle soup, grilled fish, rice dishes and snacks. Buy water before leaving for an island or rural temple.
Where to Stay
The Mekong riverfront and central Kampong Cham offer a convenient base for city walks and surrounding temple visits. Island stays need a specific accommodation booking.
Best Time to Visit
Morning or late afternoon is comfortable for outdoor city walking. Plan evening entertainment around the dated programme rather than a general daytime sightseeing schedule.
Before You Go
Stay behind barriers and keep away from unguarded steps to the river. Take care at road crossings and leave boat-working areas clear.
