How to Get There

Reach Siem Reap by intercity bus, minivan or car; the Phnom Penh road corridor follows National Road 6. Use a tuk-tuk or car for countryside outings.

Continue toward Phnom Bok hill for Phnom Bok Temple. The road journey reaches the local approach or hill base; climbing, cave and mountain sections continue on foot. A driver for the outward journey does not replace the return transport.

Admission

An international Angkor pass costs US$37 for one day, US$62 for three visiting days or US$72 for seven visiting days. Buy through Angkor Enterprise online or at its official ticket office. The pass is separate from transport and guiding.

Things to Do

Allow time and water for the exposed climb and view the temple from permitted positions at the summit.

Destination and visitor context ↗

What to Eat

Try rice noodles, amok or a rice-and-vegetable meal around the Old Market or Wat Bo. Carry water and a snack for temple or lake excursions.

Where to Stay

Stay around the Old Market, Wat Bo or central Siem Reap River for restaurants and onward transport. Angkor and the lake villages are separate excursions from the city.

Best Time to Visit

Start early for cooler walking and clearer planning around the return. November to February is generally more comfortable for an exposed climb; wet-season trails and cave floors can be slippery.

Before You Go

Dress respectfully, remain on the permitted visitor route and avoid touching carvings or climbing restricted structures. Conservation work and religious observances can change access.
