Most Kandal outings start from Phnom Penh by car, tuk-tuk or motorbike. The relevant road and river crossing depend on which side of the capital the destination lies.
Continue toward Ponhea Lueu / Phnom Baset hills for Phnom Prasith. The road journey reaches the local approach or hill base; climbing, cave and mountain sections continue on foot. A driver for the outward journey does not replace the return transport.

Wear shoes with grip and carry water. Take a light for a permitted cave route, keep away from cliff edges, and do not enter unmarked tunnels or leave established trails.
