Description
Daem Chan is also recorded as Deum Chan or Daeum Chan and is associated with the N15–N16 group at Sambor Prei Kuk.
The brick architecture and recorded doorway inscription connect this smaller group with the history of Ishanapura. A guided visit helps distinguish surviving features from information preserved in research records.

Take a Phnom Penh–Siem Reap bus or minivan and get off in Kampong Thom, or drive along National Road 6. Continue to countryside destinations by car or local road transport.
For Prasat Daem Chan, continue toward N15–N16 group, Sambor Prei Kuk. A car or motorbike covers the local road section; use the established approach for the final walk and keep a return vehicle for a countryside outing.
Road and transport context ↗Admission
A reliable current ticket price for this site is not published in the reviewed sources. Keep transport and any parking or guide service separate from admission; voluntary religious donations are not the same as a published ticket.
Things to Do
Examine the accessible tower remains and doorway details without touching inscriptions or carved surfaces.
Include the stop on a planned northern-group walk, asking your guide to distinguish Daem Chan from nearby N17 and N18 shrines.
Site reference ↗What to Eat
Try freshwater fish, rice dishes and seasonal fruit in town. Pack lunch and water for a longer archaeological or wetland excursion.
Where to Stay
Stay around Kampong Thom town and the Stung Sen riverfront for restaurants and transport. A community forest or lake overnight is a separate programme.
Best Time to Visit
Morning or late afternoon is more comfortable for exposed courtyards and climbs. The cooler, drier months from November to February suit longer heritage walks.
Before You Go
Follow permitted paths, leave stones and archaeological objects undisturbed and avoid climbing fragile structures. Dress respectfully in active worship areas and ask before photographing residents.
