Description

Reang Til is a lake-linked settlement in Kandieng with floating-village landscapes documented by provincial footage. The practical route depends on seasonal water and local receiving arrangements.

This guide keeps the Reang Til identity distinct from Kampong Luong and Kampong Prak. A village name does not establish an organised daily boat tour.

Place and local context ↗

How to Get There

Reach Pursat on National Road 5 by bus, minivan or car. National Road 55 is the inland mountain corridor toward Pramaoy and Veal Veng; lake villages lie on the Tonle Sap side.

Continue toward Reang Til, Kandieng for Reang Til Floating Village. The land journey and any river or lake crossing are separate stages: road transport reaches a departure area, while a local boat reaches the water route. The usable landing changes with water level.

Admission

Boat trips and community or conservation activities are separate services. A reliable fixed tariff for this whole area is not published in the reviewed sources; the boat type, duration and programme determine the total.

Things to Do

Observe the settlement and lake landscape from an agreed route. Learn about daily livelihoods through a host who is willing to share their experience.

What to Eat

Try locally grown citrus when in season, freshwater fish and rice dishes. Stock up with water and picnic supplies before driving into the western mountains.

Where to Stay

Pursat town is useful for the riverfront and lowland heritage sites. Pramaoy and Osoam suit western mountain itineraries; they are separate bases from the lake villages.

Best Time to Visit

Higher water in the rainy season opens more flooded-forest routes; lower water exposes banks, stilts and longer land approaches. Early morning is useful for birdwatching and cooler boat travel.

Before You Go

Wear a suitable life jacket for boat travel, shade your head and protect electronics from spray. Keep distance from birds and fishing gear, and take your rubbish back to shore.
