Description

Prasat Srei Krup Leak is a satellite group northwest of the central Sambor Prei Kuk clusters, near Robang Romeas. The shrines are commonly identified as the L group.

Recorded inscriptions and reused architectural elements show that the group has a layered history. A knowledgeable guide can help distinguish surviving fabric from material described in research or displayed elsewhere.

How to Get There

Travel from Kampong Thom toward the Sambor Prei Kuk archaeological area by car or tuk-tuk. Prasat Srei Krup Leak is one stop within the wider heritage landscape; continue from the access area along the permitted footpaths between the temple groups.

Admission

A reliable current ticket price for this site is not published in the reviewed sources. Keep transport and any parking or guide service separate from admission; voluntary religious donations are not the same as a published ticket.

Things to Do

Examine the accessible shrine remains and discuss their arrangement and architectural details with a guide.

If your route includes Robang Romeas, keep the two groups clearly identified. The names are related by proximity and research history, rather than being interchangeable labels for every structure.

What to Eat

Try freshwater fish, rice dishes and seasonal fruit in town. Pack lunch and water for a longer archaeological or wetland excursion.

Where to Stay

Stay around Kampong Thom town and the Stung Sen riverfront for restaurants and transport. A community forest or lake overnight is a separate programme.

Best Time to Visit

Morning or late afternoon is more comfortable for exposed courtyards and climbs. The cooler, drier months from November to February suit longer heritage walks.

Before You Go

Follow permitted paths, leave stones and archaeological objects undisturbed and avoid climbing fragile structures. Dress respectfully in active worship areas and ask before photographing residents.
