Description
Tnaot Chum commune preserves more than one ancient temple. The northern Kuk Cheung and western sanctuary are distinct stops that can be explored on the same locally planned outing.
Research on Kuk Cheung describes early brick architecture with later Buddhist alterations. The western temple has its own architectural history; it should not automatically be assigned the same date or features as its northern neighbour.

Take a Phnom Penh–Siem Reap bus or minivan and get off in Kampong Thom, or drive along National Road 6. Continue to countryside destinations by car or local road transport.

Road and transport context ↗Admission
A reliable current ticket price for this site is not published in the reviewed sources. Keep transport and any parking or guide service separate from admission; voluntary religious donations are not the same as a published ticket.
Things to Do
Ask a guide to identify the northern and western sanctuaries and explain the visible differences in their architecture.
Visit only the open, permitted approaches to each site. Do not treat the village name as evidence that a single mapped gate or path reaches both temples.
Site reference ↗What to Eat
Try freshwater fish, rice dishes and seasonal fruit in town. Pack lunch and water for a longer archaeological or wetland excursion.
Where to Stay
Stay around Kampong Thom town and the Stung Sen riverfront for restaurants and transport. A community forest or lake overnight is a separate programme.
Best Time to Visit
Morning or late afternoon is more comfortable for exposed courtyards and climbs. The cooler, drier months from November to February suit longer heritage walks.
Before You Go
Follow permitted paths, leave stones and archaeological objects undisturbed and avoid climbing fragile structures. Dress respectfully in active worship areas and ask before photographing residents.
