Description
Bakhlong, Bak Khlang and Bak Klong are spellings used for this coast. The request’s shorter “Bak” waterfront is included here. Visitor references also use Koh Yor for the beach; the fishing settlement and different beach approaches belong to the same wider outing.
Research reference ↗How to Get There
Reach Koh Kong town by bus, minivan or car on the National Road 48 corridor from the National Road 4 junction. Tatai and Sre Ambel are separate stops along this wider route.
For Bakhlong Beach / Bak Khlang Waterfront, continue toward Bak Khlang, Mondol Seima. A car or motorbike covers the local road section; use the established approach for the final walk and keep a return vehicle for a countryside outing.
Road and transport context ↗Admission
Budget for the boat crossing separately from accommodation, beach services and paid activities. Public beach access, private resort facilities and offshore excursions have different arrangements; a reliable combined tariff is not published here.
Things to Do
- Walk a suitable section of the shoreline
- Watch the evening coastal light
- Choose a local seafood stop after checking prices
What to Eat
Fish, seafood and rice dishes suit the coastal part of the province. Carry a packed lunch for a forest outing; community and boat programmes can include meals when sold as part of the trip.
Where to Stay
Koh Kong town works for the western coast and nearby mangroves. Use Tatai for river stays, Chi Phat for its community trails, or Koh Sdach for the southern archipelago.
Best Time to Visit
The drier months, roughly November to April, are usually more practical for island travel. Wind and sea conditions still control crossings; leave flexibility around the return to the mainland.
Before You Go
Watch local tides, fishing traffic and the shoreline condition. Ask before using chairs, huts or shaded areas that may carry a charge.
