Description
The camp operates in a conservation concession and combines safari-style tent accommodation with guided activities and riverside dining. It is a specific operator within the wider park, with its own departure lounge, boat access and booking conditions.
Research reference ↗How to Get There
Reach Koh Kong town by bus, minivan or car on the National Road 48 corridor from the National Road 4 junction. Tatai and Sre Ambel are separate stops along this wider route.
For Cardamom Tented Camp (Cardamom Tented Camp - ), continue toward Botum Sakor National Park. A car or motorbike covers the local road section; use the established approach for the final walk and keep a return vehicle for a countryside outing.
Road and transport context ↗Admission
A waterside walk, parking, a private leisure area and boating are separate activities. A reliable current admission tariff for the whole landscape is not published in the reviewed sources.
Things to Do
- Join an arranged forest walk
- Ask about kayaking and river activities
- Learn about the camp’s conservation work
What to Eat
Fish, seafood and rice dishes suit the coastal part of the province. Carry a packed lunch for a forest outing; community and boat programmes can include meals when sold as part of the trip.
Where to Stay
Koh Kong town works for the western coast and nearby mangroves. Use Tatai for river stays, Chi Phat for its community trails, or Koh Sdach for the southern archipelago.
Best Time to Visit
Morning and late afternoon offer cooler waterside light. Water levels and spillway flow change with rainfall; a dam or reservoir should not be treated as a safe swimming pool.
Before You Go
Pack light for the river transfer and bring walking shoes, insect protection and rain cover. The office address in Phnom Penh is not the camp’s arrival point.
