Wat Vihear Kuk

Description

Wat Vihear Kuk is the pagoda and monastery in Rong Damrei at the foot of Phnom Chheu Kach. Preah Vihear Chan’s ancient remains are across the road.

The hilltop Preah Vihear Kuk site is a separate part of the landscape. Agree on the specific pagoda and hill route with a local host, with time for the walk and return.

How to Get There

Travel from Phnom Penh on the National Road 1 corridor and take the road toward Prey Veng town for central provincial sights. Neak Loeung and Ba Phnom are separate approaches.

For Wat Vihear Kuk, continue toward Rong Damrei, Cheung Phnum, Ba Phnom. A car or motorbike covers the local road section; use the established approach for the final walk and keep a return vehicle for a countryside outing.
