Description

The archaeological inventory identifies this Kratie Prasat Pram as the remains of a five-temple brick group at Kasang in the Changkrang area. It is recorded as IK 910 and CISARK 1142.

It is a separate site from Preah Theat Khvan Pir, which has its own inventory numbers and surviving two-sanctuary layout. The shared request wording should not be used to treat the two places as interchangeable.

How to Get There

Reach Kratie by bus, minivan or car from Phnom Penh. Use the town as a base for the Mekong road toward Kampi and Sambor; river islands require their own crossing.

For Prasat Pram — Kratie, continue toward Kasang village, Changkrang area. A car or motorbike covers the local road section; use the established approach for the final walk and keep a return vehicle for a countryside outing.

What to Eat

Try sticky rice cooked in bamboo from Thma Krae and locally grown pomelo when available. Kratie town is the practical place for a cooked meal before a river excursion.

Where to Stay

Kratie riverfront is the main base for restaurants and dolphin-area outings. Koh Trong offers a quieter island stay reached by a separate local boat.

Best Time to Visit

Morning or late afternoon is more comfortable for exposed courtyards and climbs. The cooler, drier months from November to February suit longer heritage walks.

Before You Go

Cover shoulders and knees, remove shoes where requested and keep quiet around worshippers. Ask before photographing people or interiors. Leave carvings, bricks and religious objects undisturbed.
